2008 Conservation Poster Contest
"Water is Life"
Grades: K5, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, & 4th
1st Place winners in each grade level
will receive Prizes and an Ice Cream Party
for their class!
Millions of pictures have been drawn about water. Now it’s your turn!
Be creative in expressing why "Water is Life".
Choose as a class how you want to visually share ideas with the audience. Involve all students in deciding and creating your class poster. Students should create what they think is the most interesting aspect(s) of the topic, showing how it relates to conservation. Judges will look for originality, neatness, the ability to communicate the theme, and for evidence that the children in each class participated in and completed the project themselves.
Guidelines
:Contest is open to Pickens County students, Grades K5 - 4th.
Size of Poster is to be no larger than 36" x 48".
Each poster is to be the work of one class as a class project. One entry per class.
Posters cannot be returned. PSWCD reserves the right to publish images of posters.
Posters will be judged within each grade level.
Winners will be notified in writing.
Back of Poster MUST show Poster Title, Grade, School & Teacher (full name), along with
a brief written description of what the class’ poster represents and is meant to convey.
