This year's theme for the Pickens Soil and Water Conservation Essay/Poster Contest is "Soil to Spoon". This theme encourages students to learn about the cycle our food goes through starting with good, rich soil to ending up on our tables to eat.
There is a great Power Point presentation available through our office for any student in Pickens County interested in participating in this year's contest. It is open to ALL students (public, private, or homeschooled students) in grades K4-8th. The poster contest is for K4-4th, while the essay contest is for grades 5th-8th. There are more details available on this web site. We look forward to seeing all of the poster creations, as well as, the creative essays that are submitted. Good luck!
